the 20fps doesn’t interest me much as the rolling shutter can create headaches in sports, i work about half my time shooting sports, I am curious on the condition and shutter count of that 1Dx II, and the condition of that 300/2.8. 1dxii in excellent condition will cost 3000 to 4000USD, higher than R6. 300MM f2/8 non L is also not cheap.
07-23-2020 10:52 AM. My guess is you bought a gray market camera and have sent it to a non-Canon USA repair facility. This is one of the prices you pay for not buying legitimate Canon USA cameras. BTW, here is Canon's number 1 (800) 652-2666. You might be lucky to get it back at all.
Check the serial number of your camera. Maybe they got it mixed up. You should have had at least a 90 or 180 guarantee on the repairs, so have your repair receipt ready with the case number.

Now I was offered a used 1DX (2013 - less than 25K shutter count) in mint condition with everything original included. The price is right - US$2.4K equivalent. I only shoot stills , mostly p.1 #3 · p.1 #3 · 1dx shutter life. check with cps on how much a shutter replacement is if you're concerned. I've replaced shutters on other bodies and they usually run $175-$300 so that might help in your decision. 400k is average lifespan so unless it's a faulty one, i would think it would last about that amount of actuations.
